Portable QM failed to add QM settings to the registry

Have been using portable QM for some time. Today am unable to start the program from USB with the error message 'Failed to add QM settings to the registry'. QM process is not running. Problem is not resolved by deleting settings.xml. Am using latest version 2.3.6.5; unclear why portable version should need the registry at all.

Resolved own problem by reinstalling to USB. Settings.xml was corrupt.

Hi all,

I am thinking about putting portable QM on a USB, but the USB will have other files so I'd like it to be encrypted.  I am shopping for an encrypted USB and am wondering if anybody out there has experience with ones that work well or don't work well with QM.
