How to close/shutdown a few background programs?

QM is a really great application. Unfortunately I'm not a programmer, so it's really hard for me to use QM.

Maybe someone could help me with this: How can QM close/shutdown a few background programs with a push of a button/icon?

Is there a way for QM to do this?

How do you close these programs manually? Use 'End Process' in Task Manager? Use 'Stop' in Services? Use tray icon?
