[solved] regex - checks out fine but won't work in qm?

I'm having a very hard time understanding why my regex works in two regex testers:

expresso
the regulator

but the same regex won't work in qm or the online regex testers.

Not all programs use exactly the same regular expression syntax and behavior, although usually almost the same.

Is there a good tool I can use that's can validate regex that would work in qm? Im' currently learning the syntax but it's hock:

I don't know which tools are most compatible with QM. Some new QM version will have its own regex tool.
