would this help protect me from possible keylogger? security
#1
Hi, ive been sent a macro from someone and i want to test it, but cautious as its encrpted, i was wondering, if i used a firewall, would that prevent qm from sending any information if it was a key logger?

as its supposed to be functional as in do some "other" automated task.

or anyone suggeset any counter measures apart from "dont run it" lol, thanks

A good firewall will always help no matter what you are trying to protect your self from BUT a good hacker will find ways around them. I dont think there would be to many of the greats if any using QM to hack though lol. Like you said though there is really only one way to make sure your not going to get hacked by a program or macro DON'T USE IT.

A macro is not much different than any other software that you would run and install and could work just like a virus and do damage to your computer or send your info back to the hacker. So I make it a point to only run code that one I can see or two is from a trusted source.
