hey im asking if anyone could write or help me write a macro to find a certain number in a list of numbers in notepad...thank you

ok thank you that helped but one more...wen i have a folder open such as

Desktop>Accounts>IDs

is it possible to do a search and find a specified number in it? then double click it to open it?

this is to do a fast search for someone file in my work computer

i dont know how many ways you can ask this question without really telling us what it is you want, are you wanting to search and open a folder or file? please be more specific.

im wanting to search down a list of files in a folder and open a certain file yes

you know the folder and the name of the file right ??? if so just use this code to open it

run "C:\file name.txt"

run will open any file you want on your pc as well as folders look in qm help for more info
