Getting info from a Dialog Field
#1
here's a method for getting info from a dialog field.

here's the dialog called: drop_down_test
Code:
Copy      Help
;\Dialog_Editor
function# hDlg message wParam lParam
if(hDlg) goto messages

;BEGIN DIALOG
;0 "" 0x90C80A44 0x100 0 0 223 135 "Dialog"
;1 Button 0x54030001 0x4 120 116 48 14 "OK"
;2 Button 0x54030000 0x4 170 116 48 14 "Cancel"
;3 ComboBox 0x54230243 0x0 3 4 96 213 ""
;END DIALOG
;DIALOG EDITOR: "" 0x202000B "" ""

ret
;messages
sel message
,case WM_INITDIALOG
,case WM_DESTROY
,case WM_COMMAND goto messages2
ret
;messages2
sel wParam
,case IDOK
,Acc aa=acc("" "STATICTEXT" win("Dialog" "#32770") "ComboBox" "" 0x1000)
,str cbval=aa.Value
,out cbval
,case IDCANCEL
ret 1

start it from a macro with this code.

Code:
Copy      Help
str controls = "3"
str cb3="test1[]test2"
if(!ShowDialog("drop_down_test" &drop_down_test &controls)) ret

this is just how to do it basically to fit everyone's needs.

change the macro to a function and make sure you rename it.
